Description

Home Park House is a house dating from the early 19th century with few later alterations. It is constructed of rubble and rendered. The roof is hipped with two spans, covered in slate, featuring ridge tiles and rendered stacks at both ends, with a rear lateral stack on the right.

The layout includes a central entrance leading to two principal rooms on the front left and right, each of equal size and heated by an end stack. To the right, there is a rear kitchen wing with a one-room plan, heated by a stack at the rear, and a similar one-room plan rear wing to the left.

The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window range, all featuring early 19th-century two-light casements with margin glazing. The central entrance has a six-panelled door flanked by pilasters and topped with a pediment that has modillions, along with panelled cheeks and soffit. Attached to the left side is a single-storey wing from the late 19th century, also with a one-room plan, featuring a gable end stack on the left, a 12-pane sash window with margin glazing, and a half-glazed door at the front. The left side of the house has a 20th-century window at both the ground and first floors on the right. The rear includes a single-storey kitchen wing to the left with a two-light casement on the outer side, and a two-storey wing on the right with a ridge stack at the junction with the main building, along with a 20th-century casement at the first floor on the inner side. The interior has not been inspected.
