Description

This building is a farm barn located approximately 10 meters east of Trelyn Farmhouse. It is likely from the 18th century, though it may have earlier origins. The barn is constructed from stone rubble and has a slate roof with gable ends.

The structure has an overall rectangular plan, consisting of a small barn from the 18th century that has been extended by a second smaller barn from the early 19th century. The left side features a single-storey barn with a wide opening at the front. The barn on the right has a narrower opening in front and an additional opening at the right end, which includes a piece of 17th-century dressed granite that has been reset as a lintel. Notably, the rear wall of the left barn contains an interesting window, possibly Medieval, with five lights made from a single piece of Polyphant stone.

Inside, the roof features trusses from the late 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
