Description

Bathpool Mill is likely of 18th-century origin. It is constructed of stone rubble with a steeply pitched slate roof and hipped ends. The original rectangular plan probably housed an overshot water wheel at the right-hand end, which has since been removed. The ground rises to the rear, and access to the loft is via a door in the left-hand end. The exterior features an entrance on the left with a stable-type door, and small, pivot windows added in the 20th century to the right and on the first floor. The interior machinery has been removed, and the building was not inspected at the time of listing. The mill forms part of a group with the adjacent millhouse.
