Description
Cove Cottage is a detached cottage, dating to the 17th century. The lower walls are whitewashed stone, with the upper part of the walls in plastered cob. It has a thatched roof and a large stone chimney inside the west gable. A two-storey extension was added in the 20th century on the right side (east), with a continuation of the thatched roof. On the ground floor, there are two two-light, four-pane horizontal sliding sash windows, and directly above them on the first floor are two casement windows with glazing bars. A 20th-century doorway is situated beneath a thatched canopy supported by timber posts. The extension features 20th-century windows with glazing bars on the ground and first floors, and in its east gable end. The interior has been significantly altered, with an exposed stone fireplace and a chamfered timber lintel (likely reused). The roof timbers have been replaced.
