Description

The Harbour Piers and Walls in Mousehole are a significant structure, first built in 1392, with the south pier dating from the 17th century. They are constructed from large granite blocks and partly from rubble. The seaward side features a protective wall that is ramped at the top, along with flights of steps. The structure was extended in the mid-19th century, with the north pier also built during this time, featuring a seaward protecting wall with rough-hewn coping. The listing includes the harbour walls and the wharf along the west side of the harbour, which are made of granite rubble and also include flights of steps.
