Description

Phoenix, located at 12 Keigwin Place in Mousehole, is a building dating from the 18th to 19th century. It features whitewashed granite rubble and stuccoed stud walling, topped with a slate hipped roof. The structure stands three storeys high and has four windows, which are sashes with glazing bars set in exposed casings, although some have been replaced with modern casements. Access to the first-floor doorway on the end wall is via granite steps with simple iron railings, and there is a modern wooden balcony above. The building is included for its group value, as it forms a group with Fairmaids Cottage and No 12, along with Commander England Ltd and Stella-Maris on Grenfell Street.
