Barn, Piggery And Other Adjoining Buildings North Of Wicca Farmhouse

The building consists of a barn, piggery, and other adjoining structures located north of Wicca Farmhouse. The barn, which served as a granary over a shippon, dates from the early 19th century, while the adjoining piggery and parts of the shippon are from the mid to late 19th century and some elements are from the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and feature mostly scantle slate roofs, although the barn roof was replaced with asbestos slate in 1986.

The layout is a long rectangular range with a two-storey barn in the middle, which has first-floor loading and winnowing doorways, and external steps leading to a rear doorway of the shippon. To the right of the barn is a fodder loft, and to the left is a single-storey piggery. The exterior includes a single-storey piggery, a two-storey barn, and a two-storey shippon, with some storage in the roof space. The original openings are primarily doorways, with a few small ventilator openings. The piggery features regularly spaced doorways, while the barn has a blocked doorway on the far left, a doorway to the left of the middle, and a partly blocked doorway towards the right with a loading doorway above. The shippon has a doorway on the left with an almost adjoining window and another window towards the right. Inside, there are old floor and roof structures.
