Description
The former Wesleyan Chapel, now a Methodist Church, is a very large chapel built in the early to mid-19th century, constructed from granite ashlar. It has a gable facing the street and stands two storeys high with three windows. A large central porch is one storey tall and features four paired Doric columns along with an entablature. There are two semi-circular arched entrance doorways, and above them, three semi-circular arched windows are set within a semi-circular arched recess. Each floor has flanking windows that are also semi-circular arched. The building includes one stringcourse and a springing course on the first floor, as well as a moulded gable parapet. The side elevation is two storeys high and contains six windows.
