Description
The Skues tomb, located approximately 2 metres south of the Church of St Mawnan, is an early 19th-century chest tomb. It commemorates Grace, daughter of H and W Noye of Falmouth and wife of Richard Skues of Helston, who died in 1821 at the age of 20. The tomb is made of dressed granite and features an inscribed slate inset on the limestone lid. It has a rectangular plan with a plinth, ashlar sides, and a stepped lid. The lower tier of the lid is sloping, while the upper tier has dressed granite sides and a moulded limestone lid.
