4/232 Chest tomb at approx 25m south west of Church of Saint Mylor

Chest tomb. 1862. To Edward Hoblyn and family. Dressed marble freestone and slate. Square-on-plan. Foundation base, double panelled 'dado' plinth with 2 wide fielded panels with concave corners to each side. Tall plain panels over with attached wall monuments to east and north side and plain slate slab projecting lid, above. North monument in the form of round medallion with ramped base and moulded scrolled cornice has incised inscription to Edward Hoblyn, died 1868 aged 85, and Mary Hoblyn his wife, died 1862 aged 79. East side has pair of headstone monuments with shaped heads and incised inscriptions to other members of the family.
