Description

Wickham Bridge is a road bridge over the River Frome, dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed of pennant rubble and features two semicircular arches, which are separated by an upstream cutwater, as well as a smaller west arch. The bridge has a parapet with rock-faced copings. On the northwest side, there is a gate pier and stile. Historically, Wickham Glen was part of the old road to Gloucester, and it is likely that a medieval bridge existed at this location before the current structure.
