Description

This early 19th-century house is located on Fairfield Road in the Montpelier district of Bristol. The building is rendered with limestone dressings and brick stacks, and has a hidden roof. It follows a double-depth plan. The two-storey facade has a five-window arrangement. Architectural details include thin pilasters, a flat cornice band, and a parapet. The doorcase, located second from the left, features a bracketed cornice, a rectangular overlight, and a two-panelled door. The windows have triangular-topped lintels. A semicircular-arched stair window is positioned centrally, with plate-glass sashes. Two boot scrapers are present. Inside, a fine curved open-well stair and panelled shutters are noteworthy features.
