Description

A pair of attached houses, now shops, dating from the late 18th century, located on the south side of Old Market Street in Bristol. The houses share a significant brick party wall and have brick stacks. Number 55 has a hipped roof, while the roof of number 56 is not visible. The houses are arranged over three storeys and have a two-window frontage. They feature 20th-century shop fronts with rusticated pilasters and a parapet. The windows are segmental-headed, with five stepped voussoirs, and contain plate-glass sashes set in flush boxes. The interior of the property has not been inspected. The building is of group value.
