Description
The stable block, located 20 metres east of Henbury Manor, dates from the late 17th century and was extended in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rubble with Pennant dressings and features a slate roof. The building has a single-depth plan and is a single storey with a range of five gables. The steep gables are topped with roll-top copings and ball finials. The ends of the building were extended in the mid-19th century, featuring stepped and projecting sections with cambered arches for carriage gateways, which have arrow slits above. There are two doorways with cambered Pennant lintels, flanked by lunettes with Pennant voussoirs, and late 17th-century oval lights set in panels within the gables. The interior has been altered. In front of the stable block, there is a flagged yard that is bordered by piers and a wall.
