Description

No. 192 North Street is a Grade II listed building in Bedminster, Bristol, dating from around 1780. Originally a house, it now serves as offices. The building features a rendered exterior with freestone elements and has a double-depth plan. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window range. The façade is adorned with pilasters beneath a fine cornice and a parapet that has a ramped centre. The semicircular doorway has a small key and imposts, leading to a door installed around 1980. The flat-headed windows, also from around 1980, are characterized by seven stepped voussoirs and a dropped key.

Inside, the central staircase features column newels and a turned handrail. In the front right room, there is a ceiling rose and a cornice with acroteria and vine motifs in an adjacent panel. This room also has a pair of arched alcoves with panelled soffits and shutters that include four moulded panels. The building is set back from the road and has a garden in front.
