Description

Ashton Gate Junior School Cottage is a cottage built in 1889 by F Bligh Bond and CF Hansom. It is constructed from squared Pennant rubble with limestone dressings and features a tiled roof. The building has a single depth plan with a cross wing and is designed in a Free Gothic style. It stands two storeys high and has a single-window range. The south and east gables have overhanging eaves, and there is a Tudor-arched doorway in the re-entrant between them. The east gable includes a ground-floor three-light mullion and transom window, as well as a first-floor mullion window, with 20th-century casements. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
