Description
No. 7, Broad Quay is a late 18th-century house, now offices, situated in the Centre of Bristol. It is constructed of brick with limestone dressings and has a pantile hipped roof. The building follows a double-depth plan and is executed in a Mid Georgian style. It is three storeys high and has a two-window front. Pilaster strips rise to a cornice and parapet. A 19th-century shop front occupies the ground floor, featuring three semicircular arches supported by consoles to a fascia, with original glazing bars and a doorway on the right-hand side. The windows above have cambered heads with stepped voussoirs, horned 6/6-pane sashes, with the first-floor windows being taller. The interior was largely remodelled in the mid-20th century.
