Description
Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Broad Quay is a terrace of three shops and offices built around 1830. The building features painted ashlar with brick party wall stacks, and the roof is not visible. It is designed in a late Georgian style, comprising three storeys and an attic, with a five-window range. The left-hand end of the terrace is curved with a one-window design, thin party wall strips, and a cornice and parapet. The ground-floor shops have banded piers and paired consoles supporting the fascia. The upper windows have shallow recessed surrounds for plate-glass sashes, and there is a wide dormer. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a continuous terrace with Nos. 4-6 and may represent a refacing of 18th-century buildings.
