Description
No. 55 Kingsdown Parade is an attached house built around 1770. It features a stucco exterior with limestone dressings, end stacks, and a pantile roof. The house has a single-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a basement, presenting a three-window range. The nearly symmetrical front has moulded coping along the parapet, with steps leading up to the central doorway. This doorway is adorned with a bracketed canopy, a rectangular overlight, and a 19th-century six-panel door. The windows are horned plate-glass sashes set in flush boxes, and there is a basement door located to the left. Inside, the central hall is divided by a semicircular arch, featuring a lateral stair and panelled shutters.
