Description
A pair of attached houses built between 1764 and 1765. The houses are constructed of stucco with limestone dressings, rendered gable stacks, and a pantile mansard roof. They have a double-depth plan and are in a mid-Georgian style. Each house is two storeys high, with a basement and attic, and has a three-window facade. The pair is symmetrical, featuring an ovolo-moulded parapet coping and coped gables. The entrances are in the end blocks, set back from the central section which is articulated with pilasters. Each house has a flight of Pennant stone steps leading to a 19th-century doorway with moulded consoles supporting a canopy, and a half-glazed door. A basement door leads inward from the steps. The upper floors have windows with stepped voussoirs, containing 6/6-pane sashes. A plain window is located in the basement, and a 20th-century dormer is above. The interior was not inspected. Wrought-iron railings are attached to the steps.
