Description

This is a mid-18th century house, built in 1778, located on Kingsdown Parade in Bristol. The house is constructed of stucco with limestone dressings, featuring end stacks and a pantile valley roof. It has a double-depth plan and is designed in a Mid Georgian style.

The building is two storeys high with a basement and has a two-window front. It includes a moulded parapet coping and coped gables. A flight of steps leads up to a doorway on the right-hand side, featuring brackets supporting a thin canopy and a 20th-century door. Steps also lead down to an arched, half-glazed basement entrance. The ground floor has a single 8/8-pane sash window, whilst the first floor windows are 6/6-pane sashes.

The interior includes a narrow stair hall separated by a semicircular arch, a dogleg staircase with slim column balusters, and a segmental arch between the front and rear ground-floor rooms. Further interior features include panelled doors, wainscot and 6-panel doors.
