Description

40 Burley Road is an 18th-century building constructed of red brick, featuring a diamond pattern in white brick at the center of the first floor and a brick buttress on the west side of the facade. It has a steeply pitched old tiled roof with end chimneys and stands two storeys high. The building has two windows, which are late 18th or early 19th-century casements; the ground floor windows have cambered head linings. There is a centrally located gabled porch and a one-storey outshut to the east.
