Description

Place Mill is a historic building located on Quay Road, originally serving as the monastic mill for the Priory. It features a medieval stone base with red brickwork above and has a tiled roof. The south facade is gabled, and the building stands two storeys high with one window. There is a recessed bay that houses the wheel, of which part remains, along with some of the mill machinery. Place Mill and Place Mill Bridge are recognized as a group.
