Description
This is a street lamp located approximately 2 metres south-west of the Church of St James in Poole. It dates from the late 19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp features a round plinth with a decorated panel and a band that includes shells and the arms of Poole. Below the shaft, there is an enriched band, and the shaft itself has a decorative spiral binding. It is topped with a scrolled bracket that supports a tapered square lamp with a cap and finial.
