Description

This is a mid-19th century house with a shop, situated within a row. It has undergone alterations in the 20th century. The front facade is plain, but it features a substantial wing to the rear, which likely dates from an earlier period. The building is constructed of ashlar, with a double Roman tile roof. The front has three storeys and three windows. The upper floors contain two-over-two pane sash windows, set within sill bands at each floor. The ground floor has plain sashes, a 20th-century shopfront, and a 20th-century door with a small transom light on the right-hand side. A low-pitched roof runs to eaves on a plain band. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of the area.
