Description
Parsons Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, just 1 metre south of the nave of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of freestone. The tomb features a flat, edge-moulded slab resting on a fluted frieze adorned with paterae and corner balusters. The end and side panels are raised and fielded, displaying text that is separated by fluted pilasters. The earliest legible date on the monument is 1817.
