Description
Renny's is a house dating from around 1800, constructed of ashlar with slate roofs. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows on the front. The ground floor includes Venetian French windows set under an architrave with a keystone, flanking a now-blocked doorcase that is topped with a broken pediment supported by semi-engaged columns with leaf capitals. The first floor has sash windows in architraves above a cill band, and the attic contains six-pane sashes beneath a heavy cornice and a parapet. To the left, there is a single-storey conservatory with French windows featuring triple-lights and pelmets.
The east elevation, which now serves as the entrance, also has two storeys and an attic with three windows. The ground floor features a sash window to the right and a niche to the left, both flanking a pedimented portico supported by Tuscan columns. The first floor has sash windows on a cill band, with the centre window having 16 panes, while the attic has six-pane sashes, one of which has been altered, all under a thin cornice and parapet. There is a two-storey office wing with five windows that has similar, though thinner, details. The interior has not been inspected.
