Description

Queen’s Place comprises a pair of mid-19th century houses at the end of a row. The buildings are constructed of limestone ashlar, with the exterior of number 16 painted. They have pantile roofs. The buildings are double depth and each presents two windows to the front, with plain sash windows, and doors to the left, accessed by a short flight of stone steps. Number 15 retains its original panelled door, topped by an ogee hood supported on brackets. Both houses feature a moulded cornice, a blocking course, and a parapet, although the parapet steps down to number 16. Each house has a stack to the left of the front, with only a front ridge. The return end of the buildings is plain, while the rear of number 15 has four-pane sashes and the rear of number 16 has twelve-pane sashes. The interiors have not been inspected. These houses are part of a small, now largely demolished row, in the area.
