House. Dated A/P/1667 in florid script, with C19 addition and C20 restoration. Coursed rubble and squared freestone quoins, stone dressings, copings, pantile roof. 2 storeys and attic. Roadside front was originally a 3 bay facade with central advanced staircase tower whose symmetry has been altered by the left hand C19 addition. Gabled combined staircase tower and porch has scattered fenestration of 2 and 3-light ovolo mullions with hoodmoulds and small leaded pane casements, some under flush relieving arches. Either side are 4-light ovolo mullions (including a central king mullion) to ground floor and 3-light ovolo mullions to upper floor. C19 addition is blind. Porch doorway to left hand with a basket handle arch with datestone, hoodmould and moulded and chamfered jambs. 2-leaf C20 small leaded pane outer door; inner C17 studded batten plank door with moulded architrave. End stone stacks. Rear elevation has some edge moulded mullions. Interior. Inglenook fireplace to ground floor right hand room; original framed newel staircase with alternating circle and parallelogram balusters. Built by Alexander Popham of Hunstrete.
