Description

This is a boundary post located on the A367 road in Combe Hay, dated 1827 and established for the Bath Turnpike Trust. The post is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape when viewed from above, topped with a half-pyramidal structure. It features raised lettering that reads: "1827/COMBE HAY - BATH TURNPIKE TRUST" along the body of the post, with part of the inscription buried, and "ENGLISHCOMBE" also included. The post is also recognized in the parish of Englishcombe.
