Description

This is a late 18th-century house with alterations made in the late 19th century, located on Wells Way in Keynsham. The exterior is of rubble construction, originally rendered, with ashlar dressings to the bay and copings. It has a pantile roof and a rendered stack at the north end.

The house has a double-depth plan and is two storeys high with a single-window range. The east front features a late 19th-century canted bay window that rises through both storeys to a blocking course. This bay has plate-glass sashes with single central glazing bars, segmental inscriptions over the window heads, vermiculated keystones, and sunk octagonal panels. A doorway to the left of the bay window has similar keystone decoration and a flat hood supported by brackets, with a multi-paned door added in the 20th century.

The interior was not inspected during the listing process. The house forms a group with the adjacent properties at number 90, The New Inn on Bath Hill, and number 4 Wells Way.
