Description

This is a house with an attached, disused mill building. The house is likely from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It is constructed from rubble with large freestone quoins and dressings, and has a stone slate roof with coped raised verges. A rubble chimney with offsets projects from the left gable. The house has two storeys and attics, displayed in two steep stone gables. There are four 16-pane sash windows, and an off-centre panelled door recessed within a lattice porch. The ground floor room on the left contains a framed ceiling with chamfered beams and an ashlar fireplace with a chamfered and segmental headed surround.

Attached to the right are the mill buildings, now incorporated into the house and outbuildings, dating from the early 19th century. These are constructed from rubble with freestone quoins and brick dressings, featuring a double Roman tiled roof with coped raised verges. They have an L-shaped plan over three storeys, with a single bay on each elevation. The fenestration is irregular, comprising 2-light casement windows set beneath segmental heads.
