Description

The Richardson Tomb, located in Abbey Cemetery, is a Grade II listed memorial dedicated to Charles Richardson, who died in 1850. This tomb features a Greek Revival pedestal design topped with a draped urn, crafted from pennant stone. Charles Richardson was a draper's assistant who tragically drowned in the River Avon on June 4, 1850. The monument was erected by his many friends from his brief time in the city and includes a conventional tomb with a touching inscription. It is situated in section IV.A.42.43 of the cemetery.
