Description

The Hargood Tomb, located in Abbey Cemetery, is a Gothic Revival chest tomb made of Bath stone, dedicated to Maria, Lady Hargood, who died in 1849. It features a deeply projecting lid adorned with a foliated cross. Maria was the wife of Admiral Sir William Hargood, who held the titles GCB and GCH, and she resided in the Royal Crescent. The tomb is situated in section II.C.1.2 of the cemetery.
