These are four terrace cottages located on Gloucester Road in Lower Swainswick. They were built in the late 18th or early 19th century and have undergone alterations in the 20th century. The fronts are faced with limestone ashlar, while the rears are rubble. The roofs are tiled with pantiles and have decorative stacks built into the party walls. The cottages are double depth, meaning each has two main rooms on each floor. The cottages present as two storeys high. The cottage at number 1 has a single window on its front, while the others have a symmetrical arrangement of two windows each. They feature parapets over cornices that curve inwards, and six-pane sash windows. Shallow hoods, supported by stone brackets, cover the 20th-century front doors. The rear of the cottages have 20th-century doors and windows. The interiors were not inspected during the listing process.
