Description

This chest tomb, located 5 yards to the south-west of the tower of the Parish Church of St. Nicholas, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of ashlar and has an oval shape. The tomb features inscribed panels, though the inscriptions are illegible, and is topped with a moulded cornice. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of classical and traditional local tomb forms, enhancing the setting of the church.
