Description
All Saints Church Centre, originally a church school, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of soft coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings and features slate roofs with various stacks. The building has a virtually T-shaped plan, with single-depth set-back side wings and a large central block.
The exterior is single storey with attics and half-dormers, presenting a nearly symmetrical five-window arrangement on the front block. The stone mullioned sash and casement windows have label moulds, and the principal windows feature four-centred arched lights with rounded tops. The gables are coped with moulded kneelers on the returns, and there are two forward-facing gables flanking the central block, along with three central half-dormers. The forward-facing gables are slightly stepped forward and include four-light mullioned and transomed windows, with a small attic window above each.
The door, located in the recessed three-bay central block, has a label mould over the arch similar to those of the windows, with sunken spandrels and double planked doors flanked by two-light windows. Above, there are three similar dormer windows. The interior has not been inspected.
