Description
Batheaston Cottage, located to the north of Church Cottage, is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a slate mansard roof with coped raised verges. The building has two storeys and attics that are accessed through dormers. The garden elevation includes five windows with glazing bar sashes; the outer four windows are arranged in two pairs separated by a wide central mullion. On the ground floor, there are 19th-century bays, including a slightly projecting square bay on the left with pilasters and a cornice, and a bow window on the right. The rear wing has a central panelled door topped with a fanlight.
