Description
This bridge over the Kennet and Avon Canal was built around 1805-1810 for the Kennet and Avon Canal Company, with engineering by John Rennie. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a single span horseshoe arch with a triple keystone. Above the arch, there is a plain band, and the bridge has a plain ashlar parapet that is raised on the west side. The parapet walls widen at the west end, creating an outward curve.
