Description
This bridge over the Kennet and Avon Canal was built around 1805-1810 for the Kennet and Avon Canal Company, with John Rennie as the engineer. It is constructed of ashlar stone, with some later brick repairs. The bridge features a single span horseshoe arch that has a triple keystone. Above the arch is a plain band, and the parapet is also made of plain ashlar. On the north-west side, the walls curve outward to create a wide radius.
