Description

Manor Cottage is a cottage from the early to mid 19th century, which may have been remodeled from an older cottage or could incorporate parts of the former manor house. It is constructed of rendered rubble with freestone quoins and dressings, topped with a decorative fish-scale and plain tiled roof featuring coped raised verges and finials. The cottage is single-storey with attics, characterized by two large outer gables and a small central gable.

The building has three bays, with three-light casement windows on the ground floor set in moulded mullions and surrounds, featuring cinquefoil four-centred heads and dripmoulds. The gables contain two-light windows. A central projecting porch made of ashlar has an outer moulded doorway with a cusped head. The south gable end shows signs of an older facade and includes a cellar below, with arms displayed above the first-floor window.

To the west of the house, there is a low ashlar garden wall that is pierced with quatrefoils and has a moulded cornice, which returns for three yards to the south.
