Description
This is a chest tomb located four yards south of the Ogle Monument in the churchyard to the south of St. Mary's Church. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features illegible shield panels, fluted pilasters, a moulded plinth and cornice. At the west end, there is a skull, crossed bones, and an hourglass, while the east end displays a tree of life. It is believed to be the tomb of Thomas Bridgman, who died in 1768.
