Description

The Kennet and Avon Canal Bridge, located 100 yards to the east of the George Inn, was built around 1805-1810 for the Kennet and Avon Canal, designed by engineer John Rennie. The bridge is constructed of ashlar stone and features a single span horseshoe arch with a triple keystone. It also includes a plat band and a parapet.
