Description

The Sharpe Tomb, located in Abbey Cemetery, is a Grade II listed structure dedicated to Henry John Sharpe, who died in 1858. This Neoclassical tomb features a marble Doric column set on a pedestal. It is signed by the mason, Treasure. Henry John Sharpe was a well-regarded merchant from New York and passed away at the Royal Hotel in St James's, Bath, on October 8, 1858. The tomb is situated at the northern border of section I in the cemetery.
