Description

No. 7 is a house built around 1770, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The front is made of limestone ashlar, while the basement is rendered and the rear is constructed of rubble. The roof is a mansard style that has been altered to a single pile with a parapet at the front, featuring a stack made of reconstituted stone on the upper slope to the left.

The house has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a three-window front. On the first floor, there are three late 20th-century aluminium windows set in cyma moulded architraves with splayed jambs and stone sills, each with a balconette. The ground floor has two late 20th-century aluminium windows on the left, also in cyma moulded architraves with splayed jambs, topped with friezes and cornices, and a six-panel door on the right that features fielded and glazed panels in a cyma moulded architrave, complete with a frieze and pediment above. This door is accessed by three steps leading to a Pennant paved crossover, which includes a 19th-century cast iron footscraper. The basement has a two-over-two horned sash window in a plain reveal on the left and a nine-pane door on the right, with rendered infilling beneath the crossover and no area steps. There are three late 20th-century dormers on the roof, along with a moulded eaves cornice and a coped parapet.

At the rear, there is a large six-over-six sash window with border glazing located at the second half-landing of the staircase, a small ashlar extension from the staircase leading to the first half-landing, a late 20th-century window on the second floor, and three dormers. The interior has not been inspected.

Additionally, there are attached wrought iron railings and a gate with shaped heads, which have been refixed on concrete bases.
