Description
A group of five monuments is located in the churchyard of the Church of All Saints, positioned 4 metres south of the nave. These monuments date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and are made of limestone. The group includes three late 18th-century chest tombs, two of which feature fluted and swagged angle pilasters with rectangular inscription panels. The easternmost tomb has oval inscription panels with ornate script. The Kelson monument, dating from the early 19th century, is distinguished by lozenge-shaped panels, deeply incised inscriptions, and a slab with a fluted coved top. The Millard monument, the earliest of the group with a date of 1807, is square in plan and has inscriptions on each face, along with clasping hands facing the churchyard. It features a coved, swagged top that rises to a rounded cap and is set within a railed ironwork enclosure topped with urn finials.
