Description

No. 25 is a terrace house built between 1764 and 1770, with some alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and has a concrete tile roof. The house is a generous town house featuring a double mansard roof, with the entrance and staircase located to the left.

The exterior consists of three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with three windows. Most windows are plain sashes, but there are two dormers with casement windows. The basement has twelve-pane windows, and the second-floor windows are set in splay surrounds. To the left, there is a five-panel door framed by an architrave, topped with a pediment supported by pilasters with consoles. A platband runs above the ground floor, and there is a modillion cornice that stops at the ends, along with a blocking course and parapet. The house features a straight joint on each side, a coped party division, and a deep ashlar stack on the right. The rear of the house is also made of ashlar and has two bays with mainly plain sash windows that are staggered.

The interior has not been inspected. In front of the house, there are simple railings on a stone curb that enclose the basement area, returning at the doorway. The external fabric of the building shows the staggered history of the row, with a consistent overall detail but variations in elevation due to construction in small sections, marked by straight joints. This house is notable for having a three-window front.
