Description

The Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the mid to late 17th century and was altered and refaced around 1700. It is constructed of coursed rubble with freestone dressings and features a Cotswold stone slate roof with coped raised verges and ashlar stacks that have a moulded cornice. The building has two storeys, a cellar on the left, and an attic accessed through a central gabled dormer. It consists of three bays, with an additional bay in a lower wing to the left. The windows are three-light casements set in ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds, which are placed under relieving arches and continuous moulded string courses on both floors. The central entrance has a panelled door framed by a bolection moulded surround and is topped by a finely carved stone shell hood supported by carved consoles. Inside, there is a large fireplace with a timber lintel in the room to the left, along with stop-chamfered beams.
