Description

This is a three-storey terrace house, dating from around 1800, with alterations made in the 20th century. The front is faced with limestone ashlar, and it is a double-pile house with a parapeted roof; the form and covering of the roof are not visible behind the parapet. A coped party wall features two ashlar stacks to the left. The house has a rear staircase.

The front elevation has a two-window range. The first floor contains two six-over-six sash windows in plain reveals, with stone sills and 20th-century balconettes. The second floor has two similar windows without balconettes. On the ground floor, there is a six-over-six sash window in a splayed reveal with a stone sill to the left. To the right are two six-panel doors, both with flush, recessed and glazed panels; the first has a single-pane overlight, and the second has a three-pane window above the door. A timber bressumer sits above the ground floor, with the painted number '16' above the central-right door. The exterior also features a coved eaves cornice and a coped parapet.

The partially visible rear elevation includes 20th-century sash windows to the first floor and to the left flank wall to the second floor, otherwise the rear is blank. The interior has not been inspected.
