Description

This is a late 18th-century terrace house situated on Guinea Lane. It is a double-pile building, meaning it has rooms on both sides of a central passage. The front is faced with limestone ashlar, while the rear is of rubble construction. The roof is double-pitched, with a parapet along the front. It is covered in Welsh slate and features two ashlar chimney stacks, shared with the adjacent property at number 18.

The front elevation is three stories high and has a single bay with three windows across the front. The first floor has three windows with four/four, six/six, and four/four-sash windows set in splayed reveals with a continuous stone sill. The second floor mirrors this arrangement. On the ground floor, a six/six-sash window is positioned to the right, also recessed in a splayed reveal with a stone sill. To the left of this is a six-panel door with a single-pane overlight, standing on a single step. A band course runs above the ground floor, and there is a moulded eaves cornice and a coped parapet that connects with the properties at numbers 18 and 20. The rear of the building, partially visible, has 20th-century windows on the second floor. The interior has not been inspected.
